Joint Pain in Small Dogs – What You Need to Know!

Basset Hounds, according to PetMD, are prone to major conditions like elbow dysplasia and patellar luxation.
Degenerative arthritis affects as many as 20% of Chihuahuas, with another 10% suffering from patellar luxation.
Terriers are among small breeds that also suffer from patellar luxation, as well as cranial cruciate ligament rupture.

If you have a smaller dog that has joint issues, what is the best course of action? Of course, you should take your dog to a vet for any injury or medical concern. It’s also important to make sure your dog gets the right amount of exercise and proper diet. But, there are also big “do’s and don’ts” for giving your dogs medications and supplements for pain.

Joint Pain Medication for Small Dogs
