Flexpet contains the following All-Natural ingredients

CM8 is short for Cetyl Myristoleate, the most important of the Flexpet ingredients. Cetyl Myristoleate is the cetyl ester of myristoleic acid. CM8 has numerous biological functions, including working as an anti-inflammatory agent and a pain reliever.

Glucosamine occurs naturally in the body and plays a key role in the construction of cartilage, the connective tissue that cushions the joints. Glucosamine stimulates the production of the key structural components of cartilage and the incorporation of sulfur into that cartilage.

Hydrolyzed Collagen Type II is a revolutionary ingredient that provides the body with “tissue oriented food” for maximum nutritional support. The most common structural protein in the body is collagen and Hydrolyzed Collagen Type II is the ultimate collagen supplement.

Since joint pain and impairment is often caused by inflammation, our formulas include multiple ingredients with anti-inflammatory properties. Bromelain is one such ingredient and plays an important supporting role in the overall formulation.

MSM is another important sulfur compound found in Flexcin’s great products. It has been specially formulated to increase the absorption rate of sulfur. This substance is a naturally occurring organic molecule found in the tissues of plants and animals.

The enzyme blend is a complex proteinaceous substance that induces and accelerates the reactions necessary for metabolism. Digestion is dependent on enzymes produced naturally in the body. Large molecules like CM8® (Cetyl Myristoleate) require more effort for the body to digest.

Benefits Of Flexpet:

Scientists, Vets, & Dog Owners believe the ingredients in Flexpet benefit in the following ways:

  1. Decreased Reliance on Medications that Carry Side Effects
    • Reduced reliance on medications to control pain can be achieved by the regular use of a chondroprotectant, such as FlexPet.
  2. Improved Comfort & Enhanced Mobility
    • Your pet will be moving better and have a better quality of life by adding FlexPet to a multimodal pain management protocol.
  3. A Better Quality of Life
    • Pets with reduced mobility and low QOL based on the HHHHMM scale that are not yet on FlexPet should start a 4-6 week course and be closely monitored for improvement. Before you consider putting your pet down, give FlexPet a chance to help him or her improve.
  4. Avoid Synthetic Chemicals
    • Every serving of FlexPet chewable treats naturally reduces inflammation in a manner much safer than pain relieving drugs. FlexPet is free of artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives; so prolonged administration is safe.
  5. Improved Absorption via Digestive Enzymes
    • By taking FlexPet, your pet may better utilize the nutritional building blocks and anti-oxidants provided in food and supplements to promote optimal bodily function.
  6. Reduced Need for Laboratory Testing
    • Reduce the need for costly blood tests and potentially harmful medications by administering a daily serving of FlexPet.
  7. Joint Pain Prevention
    • Your pet may even be spared invasive and costly surgery if FlexPet is used at your first suspicion or confirmation of an unhealthy joint.

    1. Absolutely. The product will work with any breed (dosage may change a little if you have a very small dog compared to a large breed), but we do know that breeds such as Rottweilers and German Shepherds are more prone to joint issues because of their size. Flexpet is designed to help alleviate the pain and lubricate the joints, allowing greater comfort and mobility.

  1. I have 2 Rottweilders . I am wondering how many pills to a bottle. The male is 8 & a half & the female is 9& a half they are starting to slow down. I need to get them started on this but I need to know how many in a jar?

    1. Hi Caryn. There are 60 pills to a bottle, which is typically a 30 days supply. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

  2. Hi I rescued a 7 week Rottweiler from the woods. She is now 7 months and has a bad hip she has had X-rays that shows her hips haven’t formed correctly and one of her ball joints isn’t rounded so causing inflammation and pain. What will she need to make this right ?

    1. Flexpet will certainly help with the inflammation and pain. Going just by what you said here, it sounds like surgery may be the only option to actually fix the ball joint – there’s nothing else that can really change the bone structure. But, we’ve had excellent results with pets that have had dysplasia (similar issue) and did not opt for the surgery because the inflammation and pain was so greatly reduced.

    2. Stem Cell Therapy. Had this done to my Rottie and within 2 weeks –A MIRACLE HAPPENED! I got a new dog. My dog who was shying away from play was now out there running around himself. Best decision I’ve ever made in my life. I highly recommend it. Yes, it cost money but not as much as a ACL or Hip surgery and far less invasive.

  3. Are there any med interactions? I have a golden that has seizures and is on meds. He has issues standing up and climbing stairs.

    1. Flexpet is an all natural supplement, so it should not interfere with any medication. Of course, you always want to check with your vet first because every dog is different, but this should be no problem.

  4. I had my rotty on sea cucumber it seemed to work but was harsh for her stomach. She would get diarrhea. Will flexpet cause stomach issues for sensitive tummies like hers?

    1. No, Flexpet should not cause any stomach issues or side effects, but we do always suggest consulting your vet before trying any new supplement.

  5. We have a Rottweiler she has had problems since she was a baby we had to have her fix. The vet suggested having her fix cuz she could of never carried the litter. Just to get one side done its gonna cost over 5000. But she is well worth every penny of it.

  6. What is the actual dosage per pound? I have 3 rottweilers, 12, 8 and 7 and they are all on joint medicine. One is 95 lbs., one is 120 lbs, and one is 140 lbs. How many pills would they each need?

    1. Here is the recommended dosage. I would say the 95 pound dog could go either way (3 or 4), but you’ll likely want the 120+ pound dogs on four tablets per day. And, if you see they aren’t in much pain, you could also try dialing back the dosage if they only have minor symptoms.

Cats and Small Dogs (Under 25 lbs): 1-2 Chewable Tablets per day
      Medium Dogs (25 – 75 lbs): 2-3 Chewable Tablets
Large Dogs (75 lbs +): 3-4 Chewable Tablets

  7. I had just ordered the flex pet for baby bear he’s almost 7 .he’s 186.lbs
We had just lost his brother to kidney failure.
So he’s been moping and has little limp in his step.
    I really hope this works
He’s got some glucosamine tabs he’s taking and they don’t seem to be working .
    Hope this works better.

    1. Hi Holly! Glad to have you as part of the Flexpet family. I just wanted to mention, you have a big boy on your hands! Make sure you’re giving him enough that you can see the effect. At 186 lbs, you probably want to be giving him 5-6 tablets a day, at least to start. (we normally recommend 2-3 tablets for a 25-75 lb dog, and 3-4 tablets for a 75+ lb dog). If pain starts to subside and you want to try lowering the dose after the first week or two, you may try that, but you will need more tablets with such a big dog. Please contact our Customer Service team at [email protected] if you have any questions about the product or dosage. Thanks!

    2. Holly,

I recommend putting your pup on a diet to lessen the stress on his frame. Then follow up with Flexpet or something similar. My Rottie was 110 lbs and I brought him down to 82 lbs. What a difference. No, he doesn’t have any exposed ribs nor does he look sickly. We cut back 1/4 cup the first week and scaled back 1/4 cup each time until we got him to 1 1/4 cups 2 times a day plus his treats in the morning and a treat at night. Vet is extremely happy with the results and my pup didnt miss anything.

  8. I have an 8 month old rottwieler and he is around 85 lbs. He isnt showing any signs of hip problems. I was wondering if i should add flexpet to his diet to prevent any possibilities of future hip problems? Or is flexpet only for pets that start or have signs of joint problems?

    1. Though it’s primarily for pets suffering from joint pain, we do have many customers who use it as a preventative. Aside from pain relief and anti-inflammatory, the ingredients are designed to nourish joints, support stronger cartilage, and help stimulate the lubricating fluid in the joints. It won’t necessarily prevent dysplasia (which is more of a bone structure issue – in this case Flexpet helps with the symptoms, being pain and inflammation), but it can help promote healthy joints.

  9. I have been reading all the comments and I have a few questions? My Rottie/Husky mix is 90 lbs., 1 yr. & 3 mos., has hip dysplasia bad in right hip, left hip the said is not so great either. and I believe something going on in the front shoulder as well. He was to old to do the TPO surgery so we have opted to do medication therapy to try to keep this from getting worse. He is on Dasuquin chews, Adequan injections, mobility which is all natural and Carprofen for pain as needed. It has been about 2 1/2 mos. of tx. and he still has a limp, still does not put much weight on the back right leg but he still plays hard with our other dog. My question is would this be better for him and if so would I be able to stop some of the other treatments? I don’t want to over do it, but want the best option for him.

    1. Hi Lori. First, so sorry for all that your dog is going through. That sounds really rough. We do believe that Flexpet can be very helpful here, and does have ingredients (like CM8) which are not found in other supplements/medications you listed. About 95% of our customers re-order, so though it doesn’t work in every single situation, the results are overwhelmingly positive. We do need to mention that you should consult your vet before starting any changes in medication or supplements. As you also likely know, no medication or supplement can “fix” dysplasia, but can provide relief from the pain and inflammation associated with dysplasia. In the case of Flexpet, the relief is very often significant enough that owners have opted not to proceed with surgery.

With that said, the typical course of action is to start your dog on Flexpet without changing any other medication/supplements. As it is all natural, there should be no interference with other medication. As you see results, you can then, in consultation with your vet, slowly remove the other medications/supplements. Typically, results are seen in the first week or two, with full results after the first month.

Also, if you do decide to try Flexpet and feel it does not provide improvement, you can simply return the empty bottles, and we’ll refund you the purchase price.

If you have any other questions, please let us know!

  10. Will your product help with wobblers syndrome? My rott is 6 yrs old and his vet did X-rays and says he may need surgery. He hasn’t had a painful episode since the first one where his neck hurt badly..

    1. It will help keep the joints lubricated and may decrease the stiffness (and help with any pain or inflammation), but won’t be able to cure or treat the syndrome itself. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
